I'm not lazy, and yes, I'm still taking photos. I've just realized it's completely pointless to have two blogs, so I've decided to make the permanent move over to Tumblr.
So, come see me HERE. It's a party.

Charleston: Magnolia's

We went to a fancy dinner to celebrate two family birthdays while we were in Charleston. The food was awesome and the service was great. No wonder this place came highly recommended by multiple people. I had the shrimp and grits and then of course more cupcakes when we got home!

Charleston: Monza

When looking for restaurants in Charleston one of my goals was to dine al fresco as much as possible. We had a pizza night at Monza and I found the patio area to be quite charming! I loved the Christmas lights and the rustic Italian vibe they had going. The pizza was pretty good, too. We ended the night with a stop at Cupcake and OHMYGOD I'm not a huge cupcake freak at all but these were the best I've ever had. This place made me understand why someone would freak out over a cupcake. One of the girls in the shop asked if I had been to Georgetown Cupcake when she overheard I was from DC. I think I made her night when I said that yes, I had been a few times and I was already way more in love with the Cupcake cupcakes. We loved them so much that we went back for another half dozen (or more?) the next night. I might have cried a little when I realized they weren't serving the peanut butter cup flavor that I had been dreaming about since the night before. Then I gave Hannah way too much of my cupcake and she entertained us all in the hotel room for a good half hour. Babies + sugar = fun for all!

a place i've never been

A little break from Charleston photos!!
Sunday marks the first time I've ever been to Annapolis. Yeah, yeah, I'm from Maryland and I've never been to Annapolis. But, guess what? I've been to 18 countries so I don't really want to hear it. The four of us Maryland girls spent the day watching Lauren's wedding hair and makeup trial and then eating and strolling around for a bit. My main observation of the area after my first time: I have never seen so many dogs in one place in my life. It was like a dog museum on those streets! I'm sure Buckley and Nani were not pleased when I came home smelling like random pups.
Note to self: avoid standing next to 5'3 miniature people because it makes you look GIGANTIC.

Charleston: Taco Boy

One of our days in Charleston was spent in the Folly Beach area, dining al fresco at Taco Boy and watching a bit of the Mardi Gras parade. Look at the little pup! So cute. Everyone seemed so happy to be out and about on such a beautiful day. Actually, people in Charleston just seemed so happy everywhere! Sadly, we don't see nearly as many smiles up here in DC. Anyway, I have a few more Charleston posts and then no more, I promise. I've really been stretching them out, huh? Sort of makes you think I have no life lately. Gee...
I'm off to Phoenix on Monday for a week. Hello sunshine!

what i wore: March

Guess which is my favorite?? hehe. I trekked up to NY/NJ last weekend to see Dempsey and the rest of the US men's soccer team IN REAL LIFE. We played Argentina (final score 1-1) and it was more than worth the 10 hours on the mega bus and freezing temperatures just to see my guys up close and personal. And okay, my obsession with Clint Dempsey is out of control creepy and I honestly don't know wtf is wrong with me, but whatever!
